00:00:00.160 –> 00:00:11.600
Leadership unlocked. What does that really mean? Well, I don’t think titles make the leader. I think the stories make the leader. The influence makes the leader.

00:00:11.600 –> 00:00:38.050
The opportunity to serve others makes the leader. That’s what we want to accomplish here. I want to have great conversations with real people so that we can unlock their stories, hear their defining moments, and give you the audience something to take away. Real leaders are real. Like, that’s the first principle here.

00:00:38.050 –> 00:00:58.105
You have to be a real person. You have to be authentic. Now we’re not talking about this generic label of leadership, and it’s just big happy thing and everybody’s a leader. I’m talking about people who are purpose driven and value centric. Because our leadership principles are that we serve.

00:00:58.345 –> 00:01:23.345
That doesn’t mean warm, soft, and fuzzy, and it doesn’t mean without flaws. In fact, it means deeply flawed. It means authentic, vulnerable, and real. And you only get that by having gone through a journey, by having been through a crucible, by having failed, by having learned, and by having gotten back up to serve others. So here at Leadership Unlocked, that’s what we’re going to be doing.

00:01:23.345 –> 00:01:47.385
We’re going to be taking stories with people from all walks of life who have influence because that’s what leadership is. Our burning passion here is to give you tools, to give you an opportunity to take something, make something, and learn something. We hope it’s entertaining. We hope it’s fun. And most of all, I hope it helps you unlock something for your journey.

00:01:48.025 –> 00:02:18.505
Know, as as a leader, we’ve all paid tons of tuition through our experiences or for our experiences. We’ve we’ve created lots of scars along the way. And if we can take one of those stories and make it a tuition payment that someone else has paid on your behalf and you can learn from it, that’s what we’re here to do. And every week, I’m getting to talk to someone who is frankly teaching me. And I’ll admit fully that part of my motivation here is to continue to learn.

00:02:18.825 –> 00:02:32.960
And every single episode we record, I’m adding something to my leadership toolbox. I’m learning things. I may not always agree with everything someone says. In fact, I hope I don’t. This is not meant to be an echo chamber.

00:02:33.120 –> 00:02:51.445
This is meant to be real. This is meant to be powerful, and it’s meant to be provocative. Leadership unlocked the stories that make great leaders. And those great leaders are the ones who have influence. Nothing more, nothing less.

00:02:52.405 –> 00:02:56.405
I’ll see you in the show, Leadership Unlocked. Let’s get into it.
