The Arcqus Story

Have you wondered what “ARCQUS” stands for? I often get this question, so here’s the story behind the name.

Years ago, when contemplating the inception of my company, I was fueled by a deep-seated aspiration to unleash the extraordinary power of leadership within organizations. My college years, when I delved into the study of Latin and became fascinated with diverse cultures, sowed the seeds for the name ‘ARCQUS ‘.

“ARCQUS” is a fusion of two Latin words. “Arc” means “arch” or “bow,” symbolizing stored power. An arch is one of the strongest architectural structures, and its strength comes from the keystone at its top and center. “Qus” translates to “who.” Together, ARCQUS encapsulates the essence of identifying and empowering the leaders within ourselves, our teams, and our organizations.

The archer, a symbol of our leadership journey, always aiming upward and striving for growth and improvement. It may sound a bit nerdy, but the nuance and detail matter to us. This story embodies the essence of self-leadership: a continuous quest for growth and improvement to better serve others.

In his most recent role as CEO of Red Stag Fulfillment, a rapidly growing third-party logistics provider specializing in eCommerce fulfillment and logistics, he spearheaded significant growth. He laid the groundwork for lasting success and value creation. His customer-centric approach and focus on commercial excellence have cemented Red Stag Fulfillment’s reputation as a reliable industry leader.”

Before joining Red Stag Fulfillment, Dusty had a twenty-one-year career holding various senior leadership roles at AAA Carolinas & AAA ACG a multi-billion-dollar organization. His roles included SVP of Operations, Chief Marketing Officer, President of AAA Car Care, and Head of Membership Innovation. While at AAA Carolinas, he played a crucial role in transforming multiple business models and driving profitable revenue growth across several business units. Notably, he increased profitable revenue fourfold and achieved an all-time high Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Dusty has expertise in operations, marketing, human resources, technology, and strategic planning. He is well-known for his skill in solving complex, competitive challenges, reimagining products, services, and systems, and building high-performance leadership teams. His strong belief in creating exceptional customer experiences has consistently driven revenue growth throughout his career.

Dusty advocates servant leadership, and his mission is to “enable purpose and success in others.” This mission has guided him in leading high-performing teams and achieving outstanding business results. He believes self-leadership precedes team leadership and considers reading, learning mentorship, and discipline critical components of effective leadership.

Dusty has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Columbus State University, an MBA from Auburn University, and has completed the Advanced Management program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also an active National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) member and serves on private for-profit and non-profit boards. He has been a Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) member since 2018 and a Vistage member from 2007 until 2022.

Dusty is starting a new venture with his executive coaching and leadership consulting firm, The Arcqus Group. The firm aims to empower leaders to unlock their potential and create lasting value through principles-centered leadership. The Arcqus Group will specialize in CEO mentoring, executive coaching, strategy & operations planning, leadership team building, and other leadership consulting services.

In his personal life, Dusty is an avid sportsman, triathlete, and five-time Ironman finisher. He resides with his family in Charlotte, NC, and is passionate about leadership, learning, and positively impacting the lives of others.
